Sofie Sunday
Sofie’s birthday cupcakes
Tomorrow is Sofie’s second birthday.
SECOND BIRTHDAY!!
Tim and I decided to celebrate it today with just the three of us. Sofie absolutely loves hanging out as a family, and wants nothing more than to play and explore with us.
We awoke… Well, Sofie awoke, then Tim, then Sofie tried to jump up onto the bed to tackle me. Tim packed a picnic and we headed off to the zoo at 10 a.m.
Sofie loved it, so long as I was holding her. For whatever reason, I was the Chosen One today… the one to whom she was feeling most clingy. I secretly love being the Chosen One, that is, until my arms get tired.
We returned home, and Sofie crashed hard. Nap time. I ran errands, leaving Tim at home. Sofie awoke, and the three of us headed down to The Beach Grill at Padaro. Sofie LOVES the ginormous sandy play area. Tim and I LOVE to grab a pint and sit in the adirondack chairs around the sand pit’s perimeter.
Sofie clearly loved today.
And that makes me unbelievably happy.
I love my baby Sofie and can’t imagine my life without her.
Okeydoke… Gotta go finish frosting the birthday cupcakes I made for her to share with daycare friends tomorrow. I picked up one tin of Sprinkles lemon mix and one vanilla mix from Williams-Sonoma. I’ve never had the real mccoy from the source, but I can vouch that the mixes are yumola.
